‘The Collective’ aims to guide selected designers through their creative process while enabling them to have a better understanding of the business of fashion – connecting them with industry experts with dedicated mentorship to prepare th:;eir entry into the retail market.
Open to emerging Qatar-based and *Arab regional designers within the following category:
- Eveningwear
- Ready-to-wear (menswear and womenswear)
- Abaya
- Kidswear
- Accessories (shoes & bags)
Following an initial screening process, preselected applicants will be invited to introduce their brand and present samples from their latest collection to a jury panel composed of industry experts and retail professionals from M7 and Printemps Doha.
Seven designers will be selected and receive a dedicated 4-month mentoring from industry leaders and experts. At the end of the mentorship programme, designers will receive an exclusive opportunity to sell their capsule collection in a dedicated M7 x Printemps Doha concept store.
Selection criteria:
- Application is open to emerging designers within the fashion and accessory category.
- Applicants must be in business from a minimum of 1 to 2 years.
- Applicants must display individuality, cohesiveness in their work and show potential and growth.
