This workshop for adult creatives explores Ellsworth Kelly’s artistic philosophy through interactive activities.

Open to artists, designers, and anyone curious about enhancing creative expression, the workshop will start with a guided tour of the ‘Ellsworth Kelly at 100’ exhibition. Over the course of three hours, participants will engage in abstraction of form and color through open-ended exercises that provide opportunities for exploration, collaboration and reflection. The workshop concludes with a reflective discussion, offering new insights and inspiration to carry forward in your creative journey.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Charlene Kasdorf

MA Museum and Gallery Practice, MEd, BFA

Charlene Kasdorf is a visual literacy educator, artist, and illustrator dedicated to enabling creative expression and personal voice. She holds a master’s degree in Museum and Gallery Practice from UCL Qatar, where her thesis focused on ephemeral drawing-creating, supported by neuroscience research on sight and memory. Originally from Canada, Charlene has lived in Qatar for over a decade, weaving her local adventures into her work. An Artist in Residence at the Fire Station in 2022-23, her most recent picture book, “Desert, Sea, and Sky: A Day in Qatar,” was created for Dadu Children’s Museum of Qatar.
