This exclusive initiative offers designers the chance to connect with industry experts, keynote speakers, and mentors renowned for their expertise in various facets of the fashion business.
In preparation for the mentorship, M7 will work with the selected designers to provide invaluable insights and knowledge to equip them with tools to navigate the global fashion industry successfully.
The call is open to local and Qatar-based designer brands across the following categories:
- Ready-to-wear – womenswear and menswear
- Eveningwear – haute couture and ready-made
- Accessories – footwear, bags, and eyewear
Selection Criteria:
- Open to Qatari and Qatar-based designers.
- Applicants must submit their brand profile and business plan to be eligible for the program.
- Previous experiences: Applicants should have presented and produced a minimum of three cohesive collections within the same category.
- Brand identity: M7 seeks designers with a distinct brand identity and compelling storytelling that resonates with both buyers and media.
- Preparedness: Applicants must be ready to engage in the programme with a solid business plan, line-sheets, lookbook and other relevant materials to present your brand.
- Engagement: Applicants should demonstrate a willingness to interact with industry professionals, media representative during the mentorship program.
- Sustainability: Given the increasing focus on sustainability, applicants who incorporate sustainable practices into their work will be prioritized.
Following the application process, designers who meet the criteria will be screened and contacted. Selected designers will then be invited for a one-on-one interview and offered and work closely with M7 to prepare for the mentorship program in London. It is essential that selected participants commit to both local and international mentorship program.
