Day 1: Introduction to Repetition and Rhythm
Explore the fundamentals of repetition and rhythm in art and jewellery design. Analyse cultural influences, examine the Designer Azza Fahmy’s signature craftsmanship, and visit the boutique for hands-on learning about technical details in jewellery making.
Day 2: Fundamentals of Pencil Drawing & Basic Pattern Creation
Develop essential hand-drawing techniques and experiment with geometric pattern creation. Learn the importance of sketching in jewellery design and create initial pattern concepts that explore structure, depth, and creative expression.
Day 3: Advanced Pattern Exploration, Organic Forms & Design Development
Expand on pattern exploration by integrating organic forms and combining them with structured designs. Develop a jewellery concept, by refining design elements while discussing how a pattern can evolve into a cohesive jewellery collection.
Day 4: Adding Color & Final Presentation
Apply colour theory to bring designs to life using watercolour techniques. Finalise jewellery sketches, present completed designs, and reflect on the connection between repetition, rhythm, and cultural storytelling in jewellery design.
Program Requirements:
- Designers should have basic experience in jewellery making and designing.
- Designers with an interest in upskilling and learning new design techniques.
- Previous experience in designing a jewelry set required
- Personal exploration into basic jewelry design and making
- No advanced experience such as having a launched brand, bachelor's degree, or established collections.
