About the Designer
Born in Paris 1998, Maïssane Zinaï graduated from Central Saint Martins after years of competing in high-level fencing. Winner of two British Fashion Council Awards, Balenciaga Transmission Award, Alexander McQueen's Sarabande Foundation Prize, and Net-A-Porter Vanguard Prize. Her work has been featured in PAPER Magazine, Harper BAZAAR Arabia, and London Fashion Week. Her French-Algerian heritage, athletic background, and passion for mountain climbing drive her transformation of ARISTHANE from high fashion into innovative performance mountain wear, embodying "Fuel the Innit in the Mountain." Her strong inclination to challenge herself, her multicultural legacy, and the disparate spectrum of her multiple interests, coupled with a visceral need to create stories, are the keystones of her label.
