Behind NOUKTAH’s geometric silhouettes, materials speak, giving life to bags of quiet radicality. Named after the Arabic word for “point,” like a stitch’s start, NOUKTAH echoes Oubadah Nouktah’s Syrian couture heritage and early love for automotive design. The first line, Gesture, features an intuitive, patented opening inspired by convertible roofs. The second, Airbag, redefines sustainability by upcycling car parts into sculptural, high-end bags. Each piece is a story of transformation, crafted for the everyday, elevated for the rare.

About the Designer

Oubadah Nouktah is a Syrian designer born in Damascus where he grew up until the age of 10 before moving to Paris. He studied at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, developing an approach that merges graphic design and contemporary art.

His journey led him to Doha, where he joined the luxury house QELA and discovered the precision of high-end leathercraft. He continued this pursuit at ECAL in product design, refining his vision of innovative and artisanal objects.

This exploration led to the Gesture project, winning the Hyeres Public Award in 2020 for its patented mechanism. He founded Nouktah in 2022, collaborated with Toyota in 2023, and received the Innovation Award from the City of Paris in 2025.
