About the Designer

Born and raised in Cairo, Aya and Mounaz’s passion for fashion started early. Aya studied communication, media arts, and digital design at the American University of Cairo, while Mounaz focused on marketing and art. Their advertising experience shaped the marketing strategy for their brand, OKHTEIN. With the help of local artisans, they learned craftsmanship to bring their designs to life. After winning Vogue Arabia’s Fashion Prize, the sisters gained celebrity endorsements and collaborated with top retailers like Harrods, Selfridges, and Farfetch. They also showcased their bags at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, marking a major milestone
