Priah is handmade in the mountains of Boyaca, Colombia. Our story is told through its crochet. It’s a homage to the skills of our women artisans whose craft has been passed down to them from generations before. Our passion is merging tradition with contemporary design in a framework of ethical and sustainable fashion.
About the Designer
Juanita Garcia is a self-taught fashion designer passionate about development and social entrepreneurship. She created Priah as a mean to redeem her female family linage. Her grandmother -85 years old- asked her for help to sell her traditional crocheted tablecloths. Her mother was going through chemo and sewing was the best therapy for her soul. Priah was the answer to help them both to overcome their challenges while helping other talented women to believe in themselves.
